When it came to planning our most recent Parisian vacation with our 2 children, a combination of comfort, convenience, and luxury was our goal. Our recent three-night stay at the Le Meridien Paris Arc De Triomphe (previously the Le Meridien Prais Etoile) exceeded our expectations in every way possible. Most hotel stays in Europe can be underwhelming for two adults and two children, but our stay was truly unforgettable.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted with warm smiles by the courteous and professional staff at the reception. The check-in process was smooth and efficient and the receptionist even provided us with a Welcome Bag for the children filled with art supplies, an Eiffel Tower key chain and Yo Yo, which our kids loved. We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that our Marriott Bonvoy Platinum status had secured us a room upgrade to a suite. This was just the beginning of the exceptional service that awaited us.
The suite was spacious, well decorated, and offered bath amenities by Malin and Goetz. The upgraded room made our family feel right at home, and the children were thrilled to have their own space in a connecting room with a sofa bed. The attention to detail and cleanliness of the suite were exceptional, making us feel pampered and cared for throughout our stay.
One of the highlights of our stay was the inclusion of complimentary daily breakfast at the hotel's restaurant. The breakfast spread was sufficient enough to satisfy every member of the family by offering a wide range of delicious options. From made to order omelettes, freshly baked croissants, coffees, lattés and pastries to a variety of hot dishes, fruits, and continental selections, we started our days on a high note. We enjoyed our leisurely breakfasts while planning our daily excursions in the beautiful city of Paris.
As Platinum members of Marriott Bonvoy, we also had access to the hotel's exclusive lounge, which proved to be an invaluable perk. The lounge provided a serene and comfortable environment where we could relax and unwind after a day of exploring. Snacks, refreshments and a selection of hot and cold beverages were available, making it an ideal spot for a afternoon break with the children. The lounge also featured a view of the hotels garden, which added to the overall ambiance.
In the evenings, we returned to the lounge for the daily happy hour. The lounge's evening offerings included a delightful array of hors d'oeuvres and a curated selection of wines, beers and cocktails. This can allow adults with older children to enjoy some quality time while the children watch a movie in the room but we weren't able to take full advantage of this just yet due to our children's ages.
Our family was delighted with the overall level of service provided by the Le Meridien Paris Arc De Triomphe staff. From helping us with restaurant reservations to arranging transportation and providing invaluable local tips, their commitment to ensuring our stay was memorable was evident in every interaction.
