Lastest News: The Centurion Lounge at SFO - A Temporary Relocation for a Premium Travel Experience

For American Express Platinum Card Members and eligible travelers, The Centurion Lounge at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) has long been a haven of comfort and luxury. However, due to the ongoing Terminal 3 West Modernization Project, this popular lounge in Terminal 3, Concourse F, is currently undergoing a temporary relocation.

What to Expect During the Transition:

Starting June 15, 2025, The Centurion Lounge at SFO will move to a temporary location in Terminal 2, near Gate D12. This temporary space aims to continue providing eligible Card Members with a comfortable environment to relax and recharge. The full-scale, permanent lounge in a renovated Terminal 3 is anticipated to reopen in 2027.

Access and Amenities:

Access to The Centurion Lounge is complimentary for American Express Platinum Card Members, Business Platinum Card Members, and Corporate Platinum Card Members. Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card Members also enjoy access when their same-day Delta flight is booked with their Delta Reserve card. Guests typically incur a fee of $50 USD ($30 USD for children aged 2-17), though Consumer and Business Platinum Card Members may qualify for complimentary guest access after spending $75,000 in eligible purchases on their card in a calendar year. Corporate Platinum Card Members receive two complimentary guests.

The lounge operates daily from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with the bar opening at 6:00 AM. It functions as a day-of-departure lounge, requiring Card Members to be within three hours of their departing flight or have a confirmed connecting flight.

While the lounge is temporarily closed at its original location, the Centurion Lounge network generally offers a range of premium amenities designed to enhance the travel experience. These can include:

* Premium Food & Beverages: Often featuring locally inspired cuisine and a full bar with spirits and liquors.

* Work & Relaxation Zones: High-speed Wi-Fi, printers, copiers, and comfortable seating areas.

* Family-Friendly Options: Children's Rooms are available in some locations.

* Personal Care: Shower suites for freshening up.

* Unique Touches: The SFO lounge is known for its Napa Valley wine tasting area.

Important Considerations:

* Visitors must be 18 years or older to enter unless accompanied by an adult.

* Service animals are welcome, with a specific policy available on The Centurion Lounge website.

* The lounge is a non-smoking facility.

Even with the temporary move, eligible travelers can still look forward to a premium lounge experience at SFO, with a refreshed permanent space on the horizon.
