ResortChasers.com is thrilled to announce the grand opening of the newest American Express Centurion Lounge at Tokyo's Haneda Airport (HND), a significant addition for discerning travelers. Opened on July 16, 2025, this marks the 30th Centurion Lounge worldwide and the fourth in Asia, further solidifying American Express's commitment to enhancing the premium travel experience.

Located in Terminal 3 near Gate 114, the nearly 7,500-square-foot lounge is a tranquil oasis designed to reflect the rich culture and artistry of Japan. The interior, crafted by Amex's in-house design studio, OnBrand, draws inspiration from the traditional Japanese indigo dye "Japan Blue," incorporating black ash, walnut, stone, and wood slats to create an atmosphere of calm and sophistication. Guests will discover bespoke decorative elements, including an Edo-Kiriko inspired chandelier and Edo-style fabric motifs that cleverly reimagine the iconic Amex bulldog as a Komainu, a guardian of Japanese shrines. Notably, there's also Wajima lacquerware art on display, supporting the Ishikawa earthquake recovery efforts.

The culinary experience at the Haneda Centurion Lounge is a highlight, overseen by Michelin-acclaimed Chef Satoshi Ogino, known for his mastery of Japanese cuisine. Travelers can indulge in a diverse menu featuring Japanese favorites like sushi and ramen, prepared in a live, open kitchen. A buffet offers a mix of Japanese and Western dishes, complemented by a dedicated sweets bar showcasing traditional Japanese wagashi sweets and a variety of teas. The full bar serves a premium selection of wine, locally inspired cocktails, Japanese beers, sake, and shochu.
Beyond the exquisite dining, the lounge offers a range of amenities designed for comfort and convenience. These include private phone rooms that double as meditation pods, complete with curated audio programs for relaxation. Guests can choose from various seating options, from armchairs and high-top tables to dining banquettes and cozy couches. For families, there's a dedicated private room with a television. Centurion Members enjoy exclusive access to a VIP area with elevated furnishings, Kumiko-style woodwork, a private beverage station, and a curated display of Japanese art and photography. The lounge also provides dedicated workstations, shower suites, abundant outlets, USB ports, and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi.
With sweeping views of the airfield, the new Centurion Lounge at Tokyo's Haneda Airport promises an unparalleled pre-flight experience, blending luxury, local flair, and essential amenities for the modern global traveler.
