Airline Review: An Exceptional Japan Airlines experience

I recently had the pleasure of flying with Japan Airlines from San Francisco to Singapore via Tokyo with my family, including two adults and two children, in economy class. I must say, our experience was nothing short of exceptional.

First and foremost, the seats were comfortable and spacious, which made the long journey much more pleasant for someone like me who is 6'5". As a family, we truly appreciated the seating arrangement that allowed us to sit together, ensuring a hassle-free trip for all. The legroom provided was more than sufficient, even for the kids, which is a huge plus on a long-haul flight. It's rare that my knees don't touch the seat in front of me in most economy seating. I had to make an effort to slouch for this to happen. This was much appreciated for a 20+ hour flight because I'm always self conscious about disturbing the passenger sitting on front of me and for once, I felt at ease.

The Japan Airlines in-flight entertainment system was fantastic. There was an extensive selection of movies, TV shows, and games to choose from, catering to both adults and children. The kids were kept entertained throughout the flight, and the user-friendly interface made it easy for them to navigate and pick their favorite entertainment options. As parents, we were able to catch up on our favorite shows and movies, making the journey fly by (no pun intended). We always pack separate Amazon tablets for each child for long flights but I must admit that on this flight, they barely used them.

Now, let's talk about the food. Japan Airlines surpassed our expectations with their in-flight meals. The menu offered a delightful blend of Japanese and international cuisine options. From sushi to pasta, there was something to satisfy every palate. The kids' meals were thoughtfully prepared and catered to their tastes, ensuring they enjoyed their dining experience as well. The quality and taste of the food were exceptional for an economy class flight, and we truly appreciated the variety offered. During each meal, I couldn't help but to wonder what the Business Class meals offered and became inspired to fly Business Class soon one day.

I cannot praise the airline staff enough. Throughout our trip, every flight attendant displayed exceptional professionalism and a genuine, personable approach. They thoughtfully distributed toys to our children during the flights, and I noticed their efforts to communicate with our little ones at their eye level. My son was delighted to receive a Japan Airlines plane on each leg of the journey, and it became a highlight he eagerly anticipated on every flight. This thoughtful gesture truly enhanced our travel experience.

Overall, our journey with Japan Airlines was an absolute pleasure. The comfortable seats, outstanding in-flight entertainment, and delicious food made the long trip from San Francisco to Singapore via Tokyo enjoyable for both adults and children.
