We had the pleasure of staying at the Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection in Kona for a 4-night getaway, and I can confidently say it was the best resort experience we've had in Hawaii. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm Hawaiian hospitality that set the tone for an unforgettable stay.

The resort's location is nothing short of paradise. Nestled along the stunning Kohala Coast, the Auberge Mauna Lani offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and is surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Waking up to the sound of the waves and the sight of swaying palm trees was a daily treat.

The accommodations were wonderful. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had a private lanai that allowed us to soak in the mesmerizing sunsets each evening. The attention to detail in the room's design and amenities truly exceeded our expectations.

One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional dining experience. The resort boasts a variety of dining options, each offering delicious cuisine that showcased the flavors of Hawaii. The CanoeHouse was definitely a standout with it's panoramic ocean views and relaxing upscale atmosphere. While every main dish on the restaurants menu is exquisite and draws heavily on local Hawaiian ingredients infused with a Japanese influence, please do not (and I repeat, please DO NOT) forgoe the appetizers and side dishes as well. That being said, the Shokupan pull-apart bread at CanoeHouse is an absolute must-try culinary delight. This delectable creation is a testament to the culinary excellence that defines the resort's dining experience.

Served warm and fresh from the oven, the pull-apart bread is a work of art. It arrives at your table as a beautifully presented loaf, with a tantalizing aroma that immediately whets your appetite. The bread's golden-brown crust glistens, promising a satisfying crunch with each bite.

Auberge Mauna Lani's commitment to sustainability was evident throughout our stay. They take great care to preserve and protect the natural beauty of the island, and it was inspiring to see their dedication to eco-friendly practices.

The resort's amenities are impressive, with a beautiful pool area, a pristine beach, and a world-class spa that allowed us to unwind and rejuvenate. Exploring the nearby Mauna Lani Beach Club and the historic petroglyphs added to the cultural experience of our stay.

In conclusion, Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection in Kona is a true gem in the Hawaiian hospitality landscape. It's a place where natural beauty, luxurious accommodations, outstanding dining, and genuine aloha spirit converge to create an exceptional and memorable vacation. We left with hearts full of gratitude and a longing to return. If you're seeking the best resort in Hawaii, look no further than Auberge Mauna Lani – it's an experience that will stay with you long after you leave.
