Hotel Review: Discover the perfect Hawaiian Family Vacation at the Marriott Wailea Beach Resort

The Marriott Wailea in Hawaii is the perfect resort for a family vacation! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the friendly staff and were blown away by the stunning ocean views. This luxurious resort offers something for everyone, from spacious and comfortable accommodations to an array of fun activities and delicious dining options. This five night trip in March was booked using 240,000 Marriott Bonvoy points.

Our room at the Marriott Wailea was perfect for our family of four. Due to our Platinum status with Bonvoy, we were initially upgraded at check-in to a Junior Suite with a pool view for the first night. It was spacious with a king bed and sofa bed, which were perfect for our kids. The private balcony had a stunning view of the ocean and was a great spot to relax and watch the sunset after a long day of fun activities. Our subsuquent nights were upgraded to a Ocean Suite. This 1 Bedroom Suite featured a King Bed, Sofa bed and Balcony with an Ocean View.

The pools at the Marriott Wailea were a highlight for our family. Our kids loved the waterslides and the waterfalls, and we enjoyed the swim-up bar and grill, which had great food and drinks for both adults and kids. The resort also had a great selection of pool toys and games, which our kids loved.

The dining options at the Marriott Wailea were fantastic. Our family enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the KAPA restaurant, which had a great selection of fresh fruits, pastries, and hot dishes. The poolside bar and grill was also a hit with our family, and we enjoyed grabbing lunch there while spending the day by the pool. We received a daily credit for breakfast that we used at the on-site Starbucks which saved us a ton of money most mornings. Families also have the option of dining off site at one of the many restaurants and stores at The Shops at Wailea Mall, which is a quick walk from the resort.

The location of the Marriott Wailea was also perfect for our family. We loved being just steps from the beach, where we spent our days swimming, building sandcastles, and snorkeling. We also appreciated that the resort had a great selection of beach toys and equipment available for guests to use.

The activities offered by the Marriott Wailea were great for families. Our kids loved making marshmallow smores by the fire as well as lei making classes.

Overall, we had an incredible family vacation at the Marriott Wailea. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the facilities were top-notch, and the location was unbeatable. We would highly recommend this resort to any family looking for a fun, relaxing, and unforgettable Hawaiian getaway.
