Hotel Review: Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza

My family and I had the pleasure of enjoying a FREE two night stay at the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza in July 2023, and we must say it was an unforgettable experience. We were able to secure two nights using a free night award redemption plus 6000 points for the first night and 41,000 points for the second. As Platinum Bonvoy members, we had high expectations, and this iconic hotel exceeded them in every way.

From the moment we arrived, the staff at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza made us feel like VIPs. The warm welcome and efficient check-in process set the tone for our stay. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade to a spacious and beautifully appointed suite, which was perfect for our family of two adults and two kids. The suite itself was nothing short of spectacular. The elegant decor, comfortable furnishings, and stunning views of the cityscape made us feel right at home. The attention to detail in every aspect of the room, from the luxurious bedding to the well-stocked minibar, was truly exceptional.

One of the highlights of our stay was the Platinum Bonvoy benefits. We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary buffet breakfast every morning at the Crossroads Buffet that offered an International buffet spread brimming with a selection of Western and Asian gourmet delights, featuring live cooking, carving stations and a delectable range of desserts. We also received complimentary access to the M Lounge, where we indulged in snacks and evening cocktails. The lounge staff were attentive and ensured that our kids had their favorite snacks and drinks. This added convenience and the opportunity to unwind in a refined atmosphere made our stay even more enjoyable. The dining options at the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza are simply outstanding from sumptuous international buffets at Crossroads Cafe to authentic Cantonese cuisine at Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant to the Michelin Starred Ginza Sushi-Ichi. Sadly, we didn't get to enjoy some of these fantastic options due to our short length of stay.

The hotel's prime central location was a significant asset during our stay. Situated within easy walking distance of Orchard Road, renowned for its top-notch shopping, entertainment, and dining choices, it allowed us to effortlessly immerse ourselves in the vibrant culture of Singapore. While we had the convenience of readily available taxis at the hotel's front entrance, we primarily relied on the nearby train station, conveniently positioned right outside the hotel's main entrance, to explore the city's main attractions throughout our stay.

Located near the M Lounge, the pool area is beautifully maintained, with luxurious amenities and stunning views of the city. The crystal clear water was refreshing, and the poolside service was top-notch. It's the perfect oasis for relaxation and escape from the hustle and bustle of Singapore, especially for children after a long day of walking.

In summary, our stay at the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza was a truly luxurious and memorable experience. As Platinum Bonvoy members, we felt appreciated and pampered throughout our stay. The combination of exceptional service, a stunning suite, delectable dining options, and a prime location made it a perfect family getaway. We can't wait to return and create more cherished memories at this remarkable hotel. We'd highly recommend the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza, for an unforgettable stay!
